AKS spray can art exhibition
On the weekend of 25-27 February 2005, AKS held his first ever exhibition of spray can art entitled In the Beginning... The exhibition was held at The Grace Project Europa Studios in North Acton, London and many art-lovers turned up to appreciate AKS's unique skills as one of the UK's best emerging graffiti artists. The exhibition was a great success and AKS is looking forward to putting on another exhibition soon.
Free@Last project
AKS was commissioned by Birmingham charity Free@Last to design and paint a double decker bus which is going to be used by young people as a mobile recording studio and various other purposes. 15-year-old Leon said, "There's no point graffiti'ing anywhere illegal: do it somewhere it'll look good!"
Sheringham Touring Caravan
In February 2005, AKS was commissioned by Sheringham Baptist Church in Norfolk to decorate a touring caravan with graffiti art. The caravan was then to be taken out on the road and used in various projects to reach the youth in the town and surrounding area. The youth workers in Sheringham were delighted with the results and the impact this colourful display of graffiti artwork has had in the community.
Walsall job
This was a huge piece of art commissioned by the organisers of the Walsall street art committee in August 2003. Four Top Dog graffiti artists joined forces to produce a 48-foot mural in Walsall town centre.
Festival Manchester
AKS was commissioned to produce this 144-foot mural at St Georges Centre in Denton, Manchester, as part of the massive Festival Manchester week in August 2003. Working with four volunteers each day they depicted the seven days of creation and linked in community projects and the Festival Manchester logo.
